Hello there, loyal house music lovers. 2008 is wrapping up, which usually means that it’s list time. I feel like shaking things up, though. In lieu of doing a lame end-of-year round-up (not that they can’t be awesome), I have decided to post some videos that will take your mind off the winter season. It may be upwards of 75 degrees here in Houston, but since most Hoyas live north of the Mason-Dixon, I think you deserve a trio of sunny, upbeat tracks. Capital Idea: We Were Given Too Much Credit

I’m all about puns, so a New Republic article called “Debt Man Walking” caught my attention. The article sets out in layman’s terms the process by which the dollar – and America’s financial health – became tied to other nations’ economies. I won’t attempt to summarize the piece; rather, I’ll fast-forward to the point where the author, John Judis, discusses the state of our economy and how it arose from a cauldron of international spending and borrowing.
