Techno Tuesday: The Love Edition.

February 10th, 2009 | By Greg Gangelhoff in Techno Tuesday | 2 Comments »

I know that everyone and their mother is posting Valentine’s Day-related content this week — hell, I just did it a few hours ago — but I think we would be well-served by a trip down the more romantic roads of house music. To start things off, let’s look at the soul-crushing side of the holiday. Here’s Another Chance with ‘Everytime I See Her,’ which was quite the club banger way back in 2006/2007. It tells the story of a mousey girl who gets romantically pranked by the hot douchebag at school, only to find true affection in the arms of a genuine friend. It’s like they read my high school diary:

Next up is ‘Missing,’ the classical epic by Everything But The Girl. Tracey Thorn is a little weird-looking, but I find myself strangely attracted to her. Maybe it’s the short dress, but maybe she’s benefitting from some residual traces of the eroticism emanating from her star-crossed lover. This video is more melancholic than romantic, but there’s some pretty heavy petting going on at around the 3:20 mark.

Hit the jump for the sunny side of love, and a special surprise.

Techno Tuesday: Goodbye, Hello.

January 19th, 2009 | By Greg Gangelhoff in Techno Tuesday | No Comments »

While this week’s Techno Tuesday is just waiting to be published (it’s a good one, I promise), I figured that the last day of the Bush presidency deserves a political video. While Mylo is probably not a big fan of 43, this doesn’t make his music any less kickass or his video any less awesome. If only this is what actually happened in the White House - although, who knows? Maybe there are some ’state secrets’ we will never discover. Until the Chinese publicize the contents of their fly-spy, here’s ‘Muscle Car:’

Have a happy inauguration, and I’ll see you here tomorrow.

Techno Tuesday: Smack the Pressure Day ‘n’ Nite

December 23rd, 2008 | By Greg Gangelhoff in Techno Tuesday | No Comments »

Techno Tuesday is back! You didn’t think we were going to take the vacation off, did you? The music always beckons, and these videos never cease to be awesome. Today you get a saccharine appetizer, followed by a dirty, bangin’ meal. Also, none of today’s videos are safe for work or your parents’ prying eyes - especially the last video.

To lead things off, the sweet tip to a grimy iceberg, Mylo’s ‘Drop the Pressure.’ This video goes from tragic to sexy to bizarre to explosive, so you better follow it all the way through:

Next up is Kid Cudi versus Crookers, in a little ditty called ‘Day ‘n’ Nite.’ This song isn’t even out yet, so you can thank Techno Tuesday for your inside track on all that’s new in house (hat tip to Ms. JJ):

Hit the jump for some naughty girls and an extremely nasty lady, courtesy of the Prodigy:
