Our Endless Numbered Days at the Kennedy Center

Alexis Gorfine

Fifteen years ago, indie-folk legend Iron & Wine released their acclaimed album Our Endless Numbered Days. A beautifully structured work of art, Our Endless Numbered Days focuses on acoustic melodies and haunting vocals—Sam Beam’s voice like a whisper—luring listeners into a forested dream on a cloudy day. On Apr. 30, Iron & Wine will perform the full album at the Kennedy Center, accompanied by the NSO Pops, featuring new arrangements composed by David Campbell. The performance is sure to stun through its combination of folk and orchestral music given the immense talent of all involved. Tickets are now available on the Kennedy Center website, and, if you can’t make the show, stay tuned for an online review in The Georgetown Independent!
